Itinerary
Day 1: JRO to Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Where you can relax and enjoy the African atmosphere – Tomorrow morning your safari will begin! Accommodation: Arusha Planet
Day 2: A visit to the Materuni waterfalls
Today it’s time for a beautiful and energizing excursion to the Materuni waterfalls.
The waterfalls are near Moshi, a town close to Arusha. This trip is excellent for travelers who want to see Mount Kili up close; on a bright day this place has an excellent view of Kibo, one of the famous peaks of Kilimanjaro.
After approximately a two hour drive from Arusha you arrive in the beautiful village of Materuni at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The village is blessed with good soil and is green all year round. It’s tempting for visitors to stop by and learn more about the cultural heritage of the Chagga tribe who live in this area. The village also offers an amazing view over Moshi and Kilimanjaro. Day 3: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Today you will go for your first real game drive. After a delicious breakfast your guide will start the car and commence the drive to Arusha National Park!
The Arusha NP is known for its abundance of tropical birds. With over four hundred different species in this relatively small park, you can see them easily when driving through the tropical rainforest! You will probably spot the Silvery Cheeked Hornbill and in some seasons the park’s lakes are filled with thousands and thousands of flamingos, including the rare Greater Flamingo. The park also has some beautiful craters, waterfalls, mountains and grassy planes.
Arusha NP is known as the home of the rare Black and White Colobus Monkey, which you can recognize by its long tail. Its name stems from its blunt thumb: Colobus is from the Greek Kolobos, which means stump. It’s a rare monkey and that makes it the reason to visit the park. Accommodation Arusha Planet
Day 4: Cultural excursion Mto-wa-Mbu & Nature Walking Safari around Manyara
Today you will go for a walking safari along the Lake Manyara park. This guided walk goes through the tropical vegetation along the park’s wildlife management area to the viewpoint of the lake itself. You will be able to see colorful birds of different species, monkeys and other small animals.
Later in the afternoon you will do a cultural excursion in Mto-wa-Mbu village which is nearby the Manyara park. Mto-wa-Mbu is thought to be one of the only place where there are representatives of all 120 Tanzania tribes. You will walk through the community, markets, banana farms and school. The guide will help you understand everything about the community and social life of the village. If you wish, you can also visit a local bar to taste ‘mbege’, the traditional banana and millet beer. Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast the tour departs to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons than anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing. Accommodation: Marera Vally Lodge
Day 6: Hadzabe
After your breakfast you will departure to Lake Eyasi where you will experience the different local tribe of Hadzabe and bushman on their area. Here you will see how blacksmith are on their daily duties. But on the following day you will do the hunting with bushman. Accommodation: Eyasi Safari Lodge
Day 7: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park
Full day Serengeti National Park game drive including following the wildebeest migration driving to west of Serengeti where we expect to see the a mazing grazing of wildebeest and zebras. Accommodation: Serengeti Acacia Camp
Day 9: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart to central Serengeti National Park, the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Day 10: – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast, You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its a dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. Late afternoon transfer to KARATU For dinner and Overnight. Accommodation: Marera Vally Lodge
Day 11: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, the tour departs heading off on safari to Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Day 12: Back to Arusha – Airport
After breakfast or Lunch. You drive to Arusha in the Hotel or at the Airport and this will be as the request of the clients where to stay on the Last Day.
